Johnny, i really enjoyed that video. i had chills several times while viewing (emotional chills, not illness chills).
angela started a discussion about clarity, wondering what it is or how we get it... i think that video is a great resource to answer those questions.

rei, those questions were for you and the others in this site - i have my answers, but im interested in yours.

ok, this video. a very inspirational/fear based lecture on the facts of life.
here are my thoughts.

"stilling of the thoughts TO SOME DEGREE"
i think the emphasis is on TO SOME DEGREE rather than STILLING THE THOUGHTS. this is a problem which is pervading our new culture of spirituality, something that is time-old and used by all religions, something that is not useful. there is a laziness in all of us, and that laziness is being utilised by those who wish to keep us in power. THIS age is not about that power any more, it is about every individual FIGHTING back for that power.
there are many who have mistaken the STILLING THOUGHTS spirituality to be an excuse for mindlessness. but clarity is MINDFULLNESS. clarity is being on the wave and and not going "whaaheyyyy this is fun" but "i see where this is going."

so you know what i mean?

"we dont dictate what way the wave goes, we just ride it, and enjoy the ride."
this IS what we do, whether we think we do or not. but im some ways, this attitude can work against us. there has to be some kind of fight, or we will have surrendered to everything. there are SOME things we should not surrender to and i think you know what i mean.


and lastly, i think this video and others like it is only an example of how much we have changed, and how more and more people are waking up to our planet. there will soon be no need for these videos.

i don't see it as fear based. i see it as showing us we have a choice. we choose love and expansion or we choose fear and riots. it's our choice. that doesn't even mean we let go of critical thinking... just that we allow for some space in our co-creations.

i think the 'to some degree' was meant to acknowledge we're humans and humans have thoughts. in rare moments yes the mind quiets completely, but in recent conversation between you and i, angela, i think we've both spoken about how sometimes the mind won't settle down and it results in resting but not sleeping.

did you mean what you said here? according to that statement we are already in power, and elsewhere you said we need to take it back.

i agree about mindfulness. not mindlessness. there are a few critical thinking new agey types in the world. it's not all about surfing the ceiling.

umm, that second paragraph, if that was intended to remind me of my problems, um, theres really no need for that.

3rd paragraph. you are nit-picking. it is OBVIOUS that i meant under power by "in power." like keep us in check, or keep us in the box, or whatever, so you couldnt resist the urge to go into combat with that little typo could you?

whatever rei. i am not the enemy. when i make a point, as i did about the vaccines, it was an important point. what is the point of this rei?

well my point is not to seem like i'm attacking you or hoping to get you defensive, if that is what you thought. what i said about choice embodies positive and negative. choice is both, or can be both.

i was not trying to remind you of your problems. just bring up that we have talked about how the running thoughts can sometimes seem to become an obstacle in some way.

i felt like you were being a bit nitpicky last night. i asked what you meant because i didn't want to make an assumption of your intentions. it's actually not obvious - to me - that you meant under power. seems that is what you would have said if that's what you meant to say.

i don't think you're the enemy angela. i wasn't trying to be combative here, and i'm sorry if it came across that way. just sharing my opinions and you're free to do the same - you don't need me to say that, of course. the point? to respond. not to fight.

i don't typically take sides for most things anyway. i try to understand all the angles. i'm sorry if you don't respect that or think i waffle or whatever, but i'm not going to change because you don't like it.

that is actually its own kind of waffling, by the way. i have been mostly neutral about things since you joined this place, only now is it such a big deal to you, or only now are you actually saying something. last time you and i had any significant discussion, you were trying to be sure i wasn't somehow pissed at you or thinking you and i were bickering after what i said in the obelisk thread. we seemed a bit chummy even, and you have changed your mind pretty dramatically. that's your right.

your perspective even sounds a little like Bush to me - if you're not for us you're against us. why does it have to be us vs. them? in my reality it doesn't. in my reality that doesn't make me a traitor either. i want liberty and freedom and expansion and truth and a better world.

but if labeling me makes you feel better about your choices, have at it girl.
